HAS Labor got secret plans for a controversial asset sale after the next election? Racing Queensland’s new “infrastructure plan” talks of new tracks and state-of-the-art facilities, but it also points out a $78 million funding shortfall while finding Albion Park was “underutilised”. It says the solution would be to “capitalise on development opportunities to generate additional revenue for and by clubs”. There’s chatter that a previous version of the plan was much more upfront about Albion Park’s future but it didn’t pass the political sniff test so close to an election.
