Trio hurt in house fire

TWO young chil­dren and a man suf­fered se­ri­ous burns in a fire at a house in Weranga, west of Toowoomba, yes­ter­day.

Emer­gency ser­vices were called to the Ross Rd house about 7.40pm and fire crews spent about half an hour fight­ing the blaze. Paramedics said two chil­dren and a man in his 30s were se­ri­ously in­jured.

Ear­lier yes­ter­day, a home in Cur­rong St, Ken­more, in Bris­bane’s west, was dam­aged by fire. No one was in­jured, but two dogs died.
