GUITARIST Lindsey Buckingham (pictured) has sued his former Fleetwood Mac bandmates, accusing them of breach of contract for cutting him out of their North American tour and the millions of dollars he would have earned.

Buckingham was dropped from the band, which had hits such as Don’t Stop non, this year.

In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the 69-year-old says the dispute stemmed from a clash between the 2018-19 Mac tour and his wish to play solo dates.

The lawsuit claims each group member would have and Rhian- earned up to $US14 million ($20 million) for the tour, which began last week.

The band members “intentionally acted to interfere with Buckingham’s relationship with (concert promoters) Live Nation and the economic benefit he would receive as a result of the tour,” the lawsuit says.
