GLOBAL rap icon is reportedly gearing up for a stadium tour to Brisbane next year.

The rapper’s Australian promoter, TEG Dainty, apparently has approached local venues to host Eminem’s show in February, 2019.

It would be his first tour Down Under in five years.

A source said Suncorp Stadium had been the first choice to host the concert, but the venue was forced to decline the offer due to a busy schedule in February.

The concert is now rumoured to be coming up at the 48,500 seat Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC), formerly known as ANZ Stadium and QE II, on February 20. Eminem, (pictured) whose real name is

last toured Australia with his Rapture festival in 2014.

The Eminem Brisbane concert was held at Suncorp Stadium. He sold more than 315,000 tickets across eight shows.

In late August, the 45-year-old released his 10th studio album, Kamikaze, which spent four weeks at the top of the ARIA Albums Charts.

He was this week nominated for ARIA Award for Best International Artist.

The album sparked controversy by repeatedly criticising other rappers, including Australian who fired back at the rapper online.
