His­tory alive at Tweed

THE cen­te­nary of the day the guns fell silent to mark the end of World War I will be re­mem­bered in a spe­cial way at Tweed Heads.

Mem­bers of the lo­cal army re­serve unit and Tweed Heads RSL sub-branch will don authen­tic Al­lied and Ger­man uni- forms in a re-en­act­ment at Chris Cun­ning­ham Park of that mo­ment on No­vem­ber 11, 1918. At 10.45am NSW time, about 20 re­servists and RSL mem­bers, com­plete with replica mil­i­tary equip­ment, will put on a pre­sen­ta­tion sym­bol­is­ing the Ar­mistice.
