A MAN allegedly used a samurai sword to attack another man in the Tweed.
Police said a 46-year-old man was drinking alcohol with two other men at an address in Kennedy Drive, Tweed Heads, on Saturday night.
The man left the house and a short time later the two other men heard a noise and went outside.
The 46-year-old was holding a large samurai-style sword and struck one of the other two at least once in the right shoulder, police said.
A witness was able to take the sword off the man, who left before police arrived.
