The Sunday afternoon meetings of the Billy Graham Crusade Landlines in Grafton will be relayed to the Grafton Gaol to Aruma. The gaol will receive both Sunday afternoon meetings and Aruma that of Sunday, April 28.

Chairman of the board of directors of the Grafton Base Hospital, Mr. R. R. McGregor, said in Grafton yesterday that the medical practitioners in Grafton were to establish a fund to assist in training at the base hospital.
PARAVANE CAUGHT IN NETS OF PRAWN TRAWLER
An object which was later identified as a paravane – a torpedo shaped contrivance towed from the side of a ship and used for the protection of ships against mines – was caught in a prawn net off Yamba in the early hours of yesterday morning.

OUTLINE OF “NEW MATHS” BY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
Members of the monthly meeting of the Grafton Public School P and C Association’s ladies’ auxilliary found that mathematics could be exciting – and frustrating – when the principal, Mr. L. Ellem, spoke on the “the new maths” in schools. He took “bases” as his topic.
