RIDBC Book & Community Fair, Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (Main Campus), 361-365 North Rocks Rd, North Rocks; 8am-3pm, ridbc.org.au The highlight of this fair is surely the book sale, where you can browse hundreds of titles including fiction and non-fiction, antiquarian and specialist books as well as collectibles, children’s toys, CDs and DVDs. But there are also rides, a jumping castle, food and artisan stalls, a barbecue, balloon bending, face painting and live entertainment. Proceeds go to the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children.
9AM FREE WORKSHOP
Picture Perfect, Warringah Mall Library, 145 Old Pittwater Rd, Brookvale; 9am-noon, 1pm-4pm, for kids aged 12-15, 9942 2449, warringah.nsw.gov.au Do you love taking photos but don’t have a fancy camera? Learn some of the basic principles at this photography workshop using the latest iPad Air 2, supplied by Warringah Council. Participants explore and shoot the local area in groups of five. Their favourite shot will be displayed at the Picture Perfect exhibition at Warringah Creative Space from August 6-10.
