Silver fox Matt LeBlanc has reinvented himself on the UK’s Top Gear program over a Hollywood party any day,” Kidman told Event magazine this year.
So is it just being happy and healthy that keeps you young? Or is it the year, 1967? There was a full moon and solstice separated by just a few hours that year in addition to two total lunar eclipses. Whether it was in the stars or just a lucky combination of genes, the babies of 1967 have turned into very good looking 50-year-olds.
For Kidman and Urban, it could be romance that keeps them young. Kidman has made it very clear that she does not like surprises. But that has not deterred Urban in the past. “I lit off a ton of fireworks,” Urban told TV host Graham Norton about the birthday extravaganza he laid on for her 40th, 10 years ago.
“She was shooting a film in Australia and we were in this very small town ... I miraculously found some company nearby that did fireworks and said, ‘Just bring everything you have. Just bring everything.’
“And there was like a little mountaintop or something and I had a couch taken up there, dropped off there, and we drove up there. We got out of the car and I said, ‘Oh look, there’s a couch over here!’ She’s like, ‘A couch?’ We sat down and then all these fireworks started going off.”
Last year the singer interrupted a US tour to fly to Australia for just 48 hours to celebrate Kidman’s 49th birthday. In October the actor celebrated Urban’s 49th by posting a picture of his chocolate birthday cake and the message: “Happy birthday to the most loving husband, father and friend we could ever ask for. We love you Big Cat Daddy. Love, Little Miss Honky Tonk.”
Unlike other stars who hide their ages, Little Miss Honky Tonk has no problem admitting she is about to become a member of the fabulous at 50 club. Kidman told TV host Ellen de Generes: “I know everyone says don’t tell your age but I’m like, proudly 50.” Jason Statham says he is in the best shape of his life at age 50; and (left) Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel is still at the peak of fitness.
