Scott Gooding had never seen an episode of My Kitchen Rules when his mate Luke Hines suggested they try out for the reality TV show. “I don’t watch much television,” Scott says. The two were looking to build their profile and promote their clean living philosophy and thought the hit Channel 7 show would be the ideal vehicle.

So when they were accepted, Luke brought a few DVDs around to show Scott what he was in for.

“It petrified me,” says Scott. “The standard of the food was so high and everything looked amazing. We started practising like crazy.”

The pair, who are both personal trainers, made it to the finals last year and have since used their fame to pursue their passion for fitness. They recently launched Clean Living Cookbook: Delicious paleo food to help you change your life.

Although they were known as the “boys from Bondi” on the show, Scott moved to nearby Double Bay 18 months ago for a change of pace.

“I love Bondi but I needed more room and I was getting tired of the lack of parking,” he says.

The light-filled ground floor apartment has a small private courtyard with access to a common pool beyond.

For someone who is regularly up and at the beach to put clients through their paces as the sun is rising, it’s the perfect crash pad.

Animal head I started collecting animal heads when I picked up a fake deer’s head for an event. This one is made from resin but it wouldn’t bother me if it was the real thing. I am a proponent of eating meat and using the whole animal.Oars In the first round of My Kitchen Rules, you had tomake an instant restaurant. Ours was called Made in Bondi and we used these as decoration. They used to be at Luke’s place but he movedand didn’t have room. I’m lookingafter them.

Architect Architect drawers drawers I have always wanted a set of architecturalplans drawers so when I found these on eBay, I grabbed them. They were matt grey when I got them and a sanded them back to the metal with a grinder. I love theirindustrial look.BBlenderder Being in the fit fitness in industry, health lth and nu nutrition is a big thing so I use th the blenderall the time. I like to make sm smoothies with it using frozen ban banana, coconut and bee pollen.

SodSoda siphons My mum and dad ran pubs bs in and around London n and these were always ys around. I had a great childhood with a lot of freedom and these are re a reminder of that.

Photo of Tashi My son has just started d school and he loves it. He goes in smiling and comes out smiling. On that first day I was a mess.

Training ball I preach high intensity functional training and I love being able to train wherever and whenever. This ball is portable, compact and bloody hard work.
