BATHROOM3 SPOTLESS

The Daily Telegraph (Sydney) - Home - - FOCUS -

Even if your guests are not staying the night, make sure your bathroom is clean as a whistle if you’re planning on entertaining.

Tara suggests decluttering as much as is practical to make your guests feel comfortable.

“No one wants to see your stuff so put away anything that’s too personal,” she says. “Try to create that hotel feeling with a nice pump soap, flowers and even a scented candle.”

It’s also a courtesy to let your guest know about any idiosyncrasies your bathroom might have, like any issues with the toilet flushing or, perhaps, taps that need to be turned off tight.

If you don’t know each other well, either show them how to lock the door while they’re in there or set up a system so that everyone knows when the bathroom is in use.
