MATERIAL WORLD

The Daily Telegraph (Sydney) - Home - - FOCUS -

Outdoor upholstery fabrics have come such a long way in recent years with hard, plastic-feeling materials making way for fabrics that feel like natural fibres such as linen.

The best, from brands such as Sunbrella, require little more than soap and water to clean and then simply left to air dry.

Just as has been the case indoors, colours have veered towards shades of grey for outdoor lounges, from soft hues of dove through to deep charcoals.

While the latest innovations show great improvements in regards to fading, given our harsh conditions, it is wise to bring fabrics indoors when not in use to extend their life.
