Our coverage of the NSW HIA-CSR Awards continues this week with our selection of finalists in the new build, renovation and display categories. Among the many highlights is this beachside home by Quine Building which was designed in a T-shape to take advantage of the views from every angle while managing exposure to the elements. A mix of old and new materials instantly make it look like it was always meant to be there.

The pool at this beautiful South Coast home draws cool air through the house, which was designed for cross flow ventilation. A centuryold dairy on the site was demolished and the bricks reused in the new house. It is a finalist in the Custom Built category, $600,000 to $1 million. More: quinebuilding.com.au
