If you’re feeling like you don’t have time to get into spring cleaning, rest assured you’re not alone. Owner of Prissy Chrissy Cleaning Services Christina Galetti says time-poor mums are among her top clients when it comes to spring cleaning.

“Everyone’s really busy and for a lot of people, I think their biggest challenge is just time,” Christina says. “By the time they’ve done everything else, as well as basic cleaning around the house, they just want to shove everything into a cupboard.”

Christina, who mainly works in northwest Sydney and can be contacted through the Hipages website — an online directory of tradespeople specialising in home improvement — says spring cleaning is different to a standard clean.

“There are no domestic chores with a spring clean, just the actual clean out, tidying up and reassembling of spaces and areas,” she says.

“It’s very much focused on cleaning out spaces. I pull everything out, clean the shelves and the items inside and I identify what needs to be thrown away. Then I wipe everything over and everything goes back in neatly.

“I do it in a simple way so my customers are never digging around for the baked beans.”
