THORSOME CHRIS STILL SPLASH HIT AT HOME

The Daily Telegraph (Sydney) - - News - ALISON STEPHENSON

BACK on home soil, Aussie superstar Chris Hemsworth was a sight for Thor eyes as he emerged from the surf at a Gold Coast beach yesterday.

After landing in Sydney yesterday morning, fresh from the Los Angeles world premiere of his new film Thor: Ragnarok, he wasted no time jetting to Queensland for a swift dash to the beach.

Locals were stunned as the Hollywood A-lister casually emerged from the waves and strolled barefoot to the outdoor showers to wash his famous sixpack.

Hemsworth, his wife Elsa Pataky and their three children live just outside Byron Bay, but Hemsworth attended the Australian debut of the new Thor instalment at a nearby cinema last night. The film was shot on the Gold Coast.

The 34-year-old will join director Taika Waititi and Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo at the Sydney premiere at EQ Moore Park tomorrow.

Big things are expected from the third Thor film. The Hollywood Reporter said analysis so far indicated that the film, which will open in Australian cinemas on October 26, will do better on its US opening weekend than its two predecessors.
