Pic­tur­ing a tragic fall

A KOREAN stu­dent plunged more than 60m to her death af­ter jump­ing in the air for a se­ries of pho­tographs on a crum­bling clifftop.

Hye­won Kim, 23, asked a stranger to take her pic­ture then was seen in the im­ages jump­ing in the air, fi­nally land­ing with one foot on the cliff and another off it and fall­ing, an in­quest into her death was told.

The ac­ci­dent oc­curred at Bri­tain’s Seven Sis­ters cliffs in East Sus­sex. The site is pop­u­lar with Asian vis­i­tors be­cause it is named for the daugh­ters of Chi­nese de­ity the Jade Em­peror.
