Rees says: “Should I not be pre­mier by the end of this day, let there be no doubt in the com­mu­nity’s mind, no doubt, that any chal­lenger will be a pup­pet of Ed­die Obeid and Joe Tripodi.’’ Ke­neally hit back in state Par­lia­ment: ‘’I am no­body’s pup­pet, I’m am no­body’s pro­tege, I am no­body’s girl.’’

2010: Tries to shut down Par­lia­ment. Claims it’s nor­mal to pro­rogue the Par­lia­ment sev­eral months be­fore an elec­tion, but was ac­cused of try­ing to stymie an in­quiry into the state’s elec­tric­ity sale.

2011: Loses NSW elec­tion to Barry O’Far­rell. Fe­bru­ary 2012: O’Far­rell com­pares Ke­neally to a fa­mous re­al­ity star, stat­ing: “Gov­ern­ment by Kim Kar­dashian is over.” Ke­neally says O’Far­rell is the “real Kim Kar­dashian” be­cause his first mar­riage lasted for only 10 months.

June 2012: Re­signs from Par­lia­ment to be Bas­ket­ball Aus­tralia chief ex­ec­u­tive.

2014: Starts work as Sky News host. March 2017: Com­plains then-Sky News col­league Mark Latham de­famed her when la­belling her a “Yan­kee sheila” and a “pro­tege of Ed­die Obeid”.
