No fights on Bennelong home front

The Daily Telegraph (Sydney) - - News -

NEITHER of the would-be Bennelong MPs lives in the northern Sydney electorate.

Kristina Keneally shares a home with her husband Ben about 800m outside the electorate in Boronia while John Alexander lives in North Bondi with his partner.

Ms Keneally argued she has strong ties to the area as she would travel there for her work at Macquarie University and Sky News — positions she yesterday severed ties to on her announcement that she was running for the seat.

“I come into this community every day. I spend most of my day in Bennelong,” she said.

“This is where I live, this is where I work, this is where my family is, this is an area of Sydney that I have had a long connection to and that I love.”

Meanwhile Mr Alexander lives in the home of his partner Debbie Chadwick in the luxury enclave of North Bondi in Malcolm Turnbull’s Wentworth electorate after reportedly downsizing from a family home in the electorate he has represented since 2010. He is looking to move back to the electorate.
