Royal belle to step out of Suits for her prince
Exit fuels more betrothal rumours
Meghan Markle is giving up work for love. After weeks of rumours, it has been revealed the actor’s contract with hit legal drama Suits, which airs on Foxtel, is up after season seven and sources close to the set have said she’s not going to renew it for season eight.
Markle is dating Prince Harry and has been busy juggling her commitments to the television show with her highprofile relationship.
However it’s understood the 36-year-old American is looking to make a permanent move to London to be with the British royal and also pursue more of her charity work.
A source told The Daily Star: “Meghan knows she can’t really act at the same time as being a princess and is happy to make this career sacrifice”.
Royal observers believe the couple will announce their engagement over Christmas.
Meanwhile, Entertain- ment website Deadline is also reporting that Markle’s Suits co-star Patrick Adams is also not expected to renew his contract and will not appear in the eighth season. Markle, who plays Rachel Zane, and Adams, who plays Mike Ross, have been in the series from the outset. According to a source, the fact the two are leaving together “will make it an easy break for Meghan”. Series creator Aaron Korsh has said in the past that he understood that actors would be leaving the show. “They all have things going on in their lives,” he said. However, for the time being Markle is still based in Toronto where the show is filmed. Over the weekend she was spotted filming scenes in a wedding dress. Suits has been a ratings success for Foxtel’s Universal channel in the past. However viewer numbers have begun to fall midway through the current season.
