THE A-list cast of Hollywood flick The Greatest Showman are bringing their star power to Sydney next month. Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya will walk the red carpet for the Australian premiere of the musical on Wednesday, December 20. Joining them will be Broadway actor Keala Settle and the film’s Australian director Michael Gracey. The film tells the story of 19th-century showman P.T. Barnum, played by Jackman, and opens in cinemas on Boxing Day. Jackman credits Barnum as contributing “to the invention of show business” while Gracey credits Jackman with being the driving force behind getting the film made. “It is Hugh’s passion piece,” Gracey explained. “He championed the film.”
