Gastro ship back home

The Daily Telegraph (Sydney) - - News -

THE ill-fated cruise liner which was the scene of several hundred cases of gastro during a two-week journey has finally docked back in Sydney after what was undoubtedly a long fortnight for some unlucky passengers.

An ambulance was on standby as the Ovation of the Seas cruise ship pulled in at Sydney Harbour yesterday morning, with two passengers still fighting their gastro symptoms. Passenger Debbie Foster said she got sick twice while on board but her husband David, 53, was luckier. He said he had a “cast iron’’ stomach and added the trick to avoiding the sickness was red wine.
