More grants - Just Saying
Artwork titled ‘Just Saying’ is one of four financial grants obtained by Federation Council.
A $5,000 grant has been announced by Regional Arts NSW to undertake a project by a mural artist in conjunction with young people aged 14 to 16-years to plan, design and produce a large but portable mural artwork.
‘Just Saying’ is the title of the artwork, focusing on positive contributions young people can bring to communities.
Four full day workshops will be undertaken over a four to six week period. The image will be painted onto several large panels that make up a 3.6m x 2.4m exhibit which can be used indoors or outdoors.
“The exhibition will travel around Federa- tion Council area for about three months,” council’s Interim General Manager Chris Gillard said at council’s monthly meeting on November 15.
