President Jannssen said the club was looking to build on last season’s successes.
“We had a good year overall financially last year and a heap of work was completed at the clubrooms,” he said.
“We are excited to announce that there will be more to come as we are the lucky recipients of a grant from Federation Shire.
“We would like to extend a big thank you to our local council as our club would struggle so much otherwise.”
Mr O’Malley said he was also looking forward to starting to work on the club’s playing team.
“We are looking to begin or recruitment on players now,” he said.
“We would love to see local players come out and have a run plus we’re looking at a ladies tag team to play each week.
“If there are any players out there that would like to have a run at any stage, then please contact myself on 0423 355 214 and you will be made most welcome.”
The regulations are the same as last year with a slot limit meaning only fish between 55cms and 75cms are legal to take.
