Great day for Sharks at Corowa Pennant
The Corowa Sharks Swimming club hosted their home pennant meet on February 5.
Nine clubs from the central division attended the meet, including nineteen swimmers from the Corowa Sharks.
Mia Wilson, Tayah Wynne, Austin Ross-Anderson and Max Harvey all swam strongly in their first pennant.
Max placed in all of his events and Austin placed 3rd in his 100m freestyle. These are fantastic results for first time pennant swimmers.
Phoebe and Finn Osborne, Stella and Archer Coppolino and John Schnelle swam exceptionally well. Phoebe and Finn placed first in all of their five events.
Stella, Archer and John placed first in three of their events and John also placed second in two and Archer third in one.
Jedd Longmire, Remy Longmire, Lydia Ross-Anderson, Tex Longmire and Bridey Ryland all placed first in at least one of their events and placed in others.
Olivia Ray placed second in her 100m and 50m breaststroke and achieved two PBs.
Clodagh Blain placed second in her 100m freestyle and third in her 50m breaststroke and achieved a PB in 50m freestyle.
Imogen Letchford placed in her 200m freestyle and 100m breaststroke and achieved three PBs.
Hannah Ryland achieved a PB in 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly and Daniel Ryland achieved a PB in his 50m freestyle event.
Corowa placed 2nd with one of their 12 years and under relay teams and their 8x50m freestyle relay team placed 3rd.
Well done to all the swimmers, great effort, keep up the training.
