Friends of Gallery Exhibition
Twelve friends of Corowa’s Gallery 294 are featured in the gallery’s latest showing, the annual FROGS (Friends Of Gallery) exhibition, which opened on Saturday, February 18.
Members of the Corowa Arts Co-operative, who run Gallery 294, hosted the opening and acknowledged the importance of the group of ‘Friends’ who support the gallery in many ways and have been an integral part of the gallery’s ongoing success.
A hallmark of this annual exhibition over the years has been the diversity of work presented and this year is no exception.
Highlights this year include intricate small landscapes by Christine Wiaczek, painted ceramics by Bette Upton, abstract works by Jane Keane, Nola Smidt and Barbara Costarella and exquisite flower studies by Judy Balfour.
Laraine Pickett has presented an intricate quilt, while Denise Ellison has also included an example of her pyrography.
Sandra Buchan, Elaine Pallot and Christina Zey are presenting different approaches to landscape and Tanya Healy is exhibiting two of her watercolours.
The exhibition continues until March 14 and Gallery 294 is open daily from 10am to 4pm.
Now in its ninth year, the gallery continues to develop and delight both local and out of town visitors with its artwork and hand crafted giftware.
Entry is free at all times.
