Corowa Mar­ket held on Mon­day, June 26 with 10,200 lambs yarded, a de­crease of 3,200 from pre­vi­ous week and 2,400 sheep yarded a de­crease of 700 from pre­vi­ous week.

Num­bers fell sig­nif­i­cantly, how­ever they in­cluded 2,700 merino lambs.

Qual­ity was back on last week and with the ma­jor do­mes­tic buy­ers ab­sent prices were back to $5 to $10/head.

Some ex­cel­lent heavy merino lambs made to $184/head.

Re­stock­ers weren’t ac­tive due to new sea­son lambs not be­ing too far away.

Light trade weight lambs made to $126 to $144, medium and heavy trades were mak- ing from $130 to $173/head to av­er­age 675c/ kg cwt.

Heavy lambs sold from $159 to $182 and ex­tra heavy lambs sold from $181 to $190/head. Hoggets sold to $163/head. Num­bers de­creased in a mixed qual­ity yard­ing of mut­ton and com­pe­ti­tion was lack­ing with a ma­jor ex­porter present but not buy­ing.

Heavy cross­bred ewes sold from $130 to $176, best merino ewes made $164, and merino wethers sold to $174/head.
