Corowa Lion Lynn Fredericks was awarded life membership of Lions International on August 21 for his tireless volunteering to both Lions International and his local community.

Lynn’s life story reads like an advertisement for charity work and volunteering.

He was born and bred in Corowa and has lived his married life with Pam in Corowa. You could say Corowa is ‘his town’.

Lynn has held many roles in many organisations.

It all started when he joined Boy Scouts in 1968.

He joined the Lions Club of Corowa in 1995 and since then has been president of Lions Club of Corowa three times, secretary seven times, District Governor in 2013/2014 and also served on the District’s Cabinet as assistant secretary, district website and newsletter and chairman of several Lions club foundations.

Lynn was awarded Citizen of the Year and Achievers Award of the new Federation Council in 2017.

The Lions Club of Corowa is proud to present him a life membership of Lions International.

The life membership was presented at the Lions Club of Corowa dinner meeting by a senior member of Lions International David Skinner OAM.

He is the Australian Lions Club Constitution and By-laws Chairman and members consider themselves lucky to have such an important man in the club.

Thank you David for doing such a good job presenting the award on the night.

Lynn has been known to say: “That he is no different to any of you out there, no different at all.”

But we all know better, he is a special person.

Congratulations Lynn.
