Corowa to host skate com­pe­ti­tion

The Corowa Skate Park will come alive for the an­nual North East Skate Park Se­ries on Oc­to­ber 21.

The Skate Park Se­ries hosts eleven Skate/ BMX/Scooter and mu­sic events at skate parks across the re­gion for young peo­ple aged be­tween 12 and 25.

The Corowa event will be on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 21 from 2pm to 6pm, with reg­is­tra­tion com­menc­ing at 1.30pm.

Lo­cal Live mu­sic, a bar­be­cue pro­vided by the APEX Club and a va­ri­ety of demon­stra­tions in skat­ing and BMX will be on show to in­spire par­tic­i­pants.

The ini­tia­tive pro­vides an op­por­tu­nity for peo­ple of all abil­i­ties to have some fun, show off their skills and be in the run­ning for some great prizes.

The au­di­ence will be en­ter­tained by Judge and MC Josh Hodg­son, as well as lo­cal per­for­mances by Kayne Lyn­don and Jack and Harry Kay.

The events are free to at­tend and par­tic­i­pate in, fully su­per­vised and drug, al­co­hol and smoke free.

The North East Skate Park Se­ries is a part­ner­ship be­tween Alpine Shire, Fed­er­a­tion Coun­cil and Indigo Shire.
