The Christmas Giving Tree returns
The Rotary Club of Corowa, in conjunction with Super IGA Corowa, is again running a Christmas Giving Tree.
The Giving Tree will start Friday, November 17 and run through until Monday, December 20.
The club is looking for gifts of toys and nonperishable food, preferable unwrapped, which can be left under the Christmas Tree which will be set up at in front of the checkout at the supermarket.
All donations will then be collected by the local St Vincent de Paul volunteers and distributed to families in Corowa, irrespective of religion, who are experiencing some difficulties at Christmas time.
The Rotary Club is hoping the people and businesses of Corowa will open their hearts and leave gifts of unwrapped toys and nonperishable food under the Christmas tree set up in front of the IGA supermarket’s checkouts.
This is the 13th year the Giving Tree has been conducted and many local families have benefited from the generosity of community at this special time of year.
The Rotary Club is hoping the people of Corowa will again be generous at this special time of year.
