Fes­ti­val to cel­e­brate se­niors

Fed­er­a­tion Coun­cil is ex­tend­ing an in­vi­ta­tion to res­i­dents aged over 55 years to join the ‘Baby Boomers Bus About’ as part of the 2018 NSW Se­niors Fes­ti­val from April 4 to 15.

Based on this year’s fes­ti­val theme ‘Let’s Do More To­gether’, the Baby Boomers Bus About is a se­ries of or­gan­ised tours en­cour­ag­ing peo­ple to get out and about.

Guests can hop on a bus, be chauf­feured to the event and en­joy spend­ing time with like­minded peo­ple.

The aim of the pro­gram is to pro­vide op­por- tu­ni­ties for se­niors to spend time with friends, meet new peo­ple, learn new skills and most im­por­tantly have fun.

Events are free and peo­ple can at­tend as many events as they like.

Buses will be avail­able for peo­ple to pre­book their seat on, or they may choose to make their own way there.

Five events are sched­uled over the week and re­turn buses to and from each event will run from Corowa, How­long, Mul­wala, Oak­lands and Urana.

The NSW Se­niors Fes­ti­val is de­signed to cel­e­brate the role se­nior’s play and the con­tri­bu­tions they make to the com­mu­nity.
