The U18s started well getting the first two goals of the game and were looking good until the Rovers switched on and finished the quarter the better of the two teams.
The Rovers hit their straps with slick ball movement in the second quarter hitting the scoreboard with eight goals to the Roos one. With the second half about to start the boys were just asked to compete and that’s what they did.
But with the hot weather, and the Roos a little underdone, the Rovers ran away with the game. But the boys didn’t stop fighting all day and there were many positives to take out of the encounter.
