A Grade

Roos 46 defeated Raiders 24. What a stellar game. Presence on the court was phenomenal from the first whistle. A great team game. The defensive pressure was second to none. We talked about it, we trained it, we played it, we won it. Awards: Sullivans Hair & Beauty – Simone Hanrahan – Another dominant game outlining how crazily good her footwork and fight is to get front position.

Club 1 – Ella Kingston – Best game of this girls life. Her attacking and defensive games were outstanding and mature well beyond her age.

Club 2 – Brooke Bice – Strong driving and dictating of space. Great delivery of ball. Rest assured it’s always in safe hands.

Doc Yarrum – Liv Sinclair – Great forcing of errors and crucial swapping with other mids, creating those defensive turn overs.

Ladies Committee x 2 – Steph Clancy and Emily Laracy – Worked hard in defence shutting down opposition plays.

Greg Leahy Award – Lily Hanrahan – 100% effort on and off the court. An absolute delight and such a familiar player.

B Grade

Roos 31 defeated by Raiders 37. Strong start but this is the story of the one that got away.

Too many unforced errors proved costly and it’s hard to play catch up.

To the girls credit everyone fought hard for a ball that wasn’t falling our way.

Awards: Sullivans Hair & Beauty & Origin Clothing – Leah Keating – Some flashy intercepts and deflections that kept the Raiders attack end guessing where she would pop up from.

Club 1 – Catherine Wood – A stellar performance by the new look flank player. She took on board all direction and constructive feedback and it was obvious she channelled this. An impressive performance.

Club 2 – Kiara McLean – Such a versatile player. She brings confidence to all players and always gives 120% of everything she’s got. Such a coaches delight.

C Grade

Roos 19 defeated by Raiders 40. C Grade started the game off well. The ball was moving down the court freely. Unfortunately Ro injured her calf and had to come off. To the girls credit they kept trying with passages of brilliance throughout the quarters. Keep training hard. Awards: Sullivans Hair & Beauty & Club 1 – Grace Hanrahan; Club 2 – Brooke Ferwerda; Essential Beauty – Belinda Patterson; Ladies Committee – Keeley Mills.

16/U

Roos 25 defeated by Raiders 66. It was a very tough game against a very polished and fast moving Raiders.

Although the score was one sided the girls tried hard all game.

Our shooting improved and we worked hard at our team goals.

We had lots of positives to take into our next game.

Awards: Sullivans Hair & Beauty & Club 2 – Lily Hanrahan; Club 1 – Zali Spencer; Sportspower – Jade Lane; Ladies Committee – Molly King.

Roos C Grade netballer Belinda Patterson reaching for an intercept.
