• In­ter­na­tional Day for this year’s Coun­try of Study, Poland was en­joyed by mem­bers, pupils of Oaklands Cen­tral School, par­ents and guests. The chil­dren showed their well-pre­pared Power point pre­sen­ta­tions. Thanks to all the chil­dren, the teach­ers and the helpers on the day.

• There has been much pub­lic­ity re CWA of NSW’s in­volve­ment in dis­pens­ing drought fund­ing. Money (up to $3,000) is avail­able to as­sist with pay­ment of ac­counts – tele­phone, elec­tric­ity (house) gro­ceries, rates (house) tele­phone, gap pay­ments for den­tal and med­i­cal or travel to ap­point­ments. Ap­pli­ca­tions can be made di­rectly to CWA of NSW. All ap­pli­ca­tions are strictly con­fi­den­tial. All do­na­tions are tax de­ductable. • Do­na­tions of cash are pre­ferred over goods for ease of dis­tri­bu­tion. Do­na­tions should be made di­rectly to the CWA of NSW Dis­as­ter Re­lief Fund, PO Box 222, Mas­cot, NSW, 1460. www.cwaofnsw.org.au. • Mem­bers are greatly sad­dened by the death of Mrs Eve­lyn Mary Margaret Burke 7/3/1927 – 25/8/2018. Eve­lyn was a val­ued Mem­ber of Oaklands CWA, Al­bury CWA and the lo­cal com­mu­nity, much loved by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed.
