Mon­day play date at Ptu­narra

MORE qual­ity play time is on of­fer with two free pro­grams at New Nor­folk’s Ptu­narra Child and Fam­ily Cen­tre to help young kids get some great so­cial in­ter­ac­tion.

The Lit­tle Ex­plor­ers pro­gram caters for chil­dren as young as four months up to pre-walk­ing chil­dren and al­lows them to build re­la­tion­ships and in­ter­act with sim­i­lar age chil­dren.

The Ptu­narra Play pro­gram for chil­dren up to the age of 18 months and older fo­cuses on var­i­ous play ac­tiv­i­ties which change on a weekly ba­sis.

Cen­tre leader Katie Beamish said the pro­grams also were great for par­ents to in­ter­act with each other.

“It’s a great chance for the par­ents to come to­gether and share sto­ries and see their chil­dren play to­gether,” she said. “It’s high qual­ity play which al­lows for de­vel­op­ment and re­leas­ing the chil­dren's full po­ten­tial.”

Ptu­narra Play be­gins at 9.30am and Lit­tle Ex­plor­ers at 11am on Mon­days.

Ptu­narra is open dur­ing the school hol­i­days, with a va­ri­ety of ac­tiv­i­ties and pro­grams avail­able.
