Parks ser­vice warns of Call for Mt Field fuel burnoff soc­cer play­ers

A FUEL re­duc­tion fire is planned for the Mt Field Na­tional Park today and to­mor­row by the Parks and Wildlife Ser­vice.

The 11ha burn has been de­signed to re­duce fu­els to pro­vide pro­tec­tion for the vis­i­tor ser­vices zone at Mt Field Na­tional Park.

While planned burns are aimed at be­ing low-in­ten­sity, at times there will be sig­nif­i­cant smoke and flames, and ash may re­sult.

Peo­ple with med­i­cal condi- tions are ad­vised to have a per­sonal plan for avoid­ing smoke from the burn.
