Great week­end for ju­nior sides

ALL three teams from the Val­ley got wins in round two of the ju­nior ros­ter.

There were some very good in­di­vid­ual per­for­mances.

In the Un­der 13s, New Nor­folk’s Cameron McMaster top scored with a well-made 18 while Luke Jarvis got 16 runs and also had very good bowl­ing fig­ures of 1-1 off two overs.

Jesse Lay­cock got 1-1 off one over and Cale Brown­ing took just one de­liv­ery for a wicket.

Gretna Un­der 13s team mem­ber Kane Lovell had a day to re­mem­ber, mak­ing an ex­cel­lent 71 not out off just 61 balls and hit­ting 12 bound­aries.

Caleb Mayne got 31 from 32 balls and Con­nor Git­tus also did very well with 23 from 28 balls.

James Brazen­dale showed ta­lent in his first game, mak­ing 14 not out and tak­ing 1-3 with the ball.

Also with the ball, Bai­ley Mayne took 2-11 and brother Caleb Mayne took 1-0 off just three de­liv­er­iess.

In the Un­der 15s, Gretna bats­man Zac Wheeler made a very good 50 runs, hit­ting seven fours and one six, while his younger brother Bai­ley Wheeler did a great job to take 3-0 off just one over.
