Police in search for WA man

The Gazette (Derwent Valley) - - NEWS -

TASMANIA Police hold grave concerns for a traveller last seen in the Central Highlands in November.

West Australian man Peter Henrich, 58, had been making his way around the state for about 18 months.

But last week his vehicle van was found abandoned in a remote car park near Poatina.

Police believe the last reported sighting of Mr Henrich, who has few relatives, was in November.

Police said there were no signs of any suspicious activity.

“Investigations indicate he was likely to have been planning to camp in the area,” a police spokeswoman said.

“Police believe the van arrived at the car park in early November.”

Police hold concerns for the safety and wellbeing of Mr Henrich and would like to hear from him or anyone who has seen him or his vehicle recently. His vehicle is a WA-registered white Suzuki van — N10992. Information can be provided anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at crimestopperstas.com.au
