I’M running because we need a council who puts the community first. The cash grab in this year’s budget and lack of transparency around council decisions show a council completely out of touch.

A 6 per cent rate increase, $85 tip levy and all charges across the board have increased: dog registrations, tip entry, swimming pool and sports grounds hire, in some cases by as much as 50 per cent.

While we are being slugged, council is employing more high paid staff and has outstanding rates totalling over $580,000.

I say enough. A vote for me will ensure Council gets back to the basics, rates, roads and rubbish, I will work to have rates capped at CPI and review all fees and charges. Council needs to become open and transparent.
