Blues­fest, the sec­ond wave

FOLK rock su­per­group Crosby, Stills and Nash join the sec­ond wave of acts which have been added to the 2012 Blues­fest line-up. The trio were among 13 new acts that join the fes­ti­val. They in­clude The Spe­cials, Lucinda Wil­liams, John Hi­att and The Combo, Dono­van, An­gelique Kidjo, Sea­sick Steve, Keb Mo, Nick Lowe, Rosie Ledet, Seth Lakeman, Harry Manx, Fab­u­lous Thun­der­birds and Ala­mamba 3. Crosby, Stills and Nash are famed for their in­tri­cate vo­cal har­monies and last­ing in­flu­ence on mu­sic and cul­ture. The trio per­formed an acous­tic set for Oc­cupy Wall Street pro­test­ers in New York’s Zuc­cotti Park last week. New acts join first wave acts that in­clude Roger Dal­trey per­form­ing The Who’s Tommy and more, Earth Wind and Fire, The Pogues, John But­ler Trio, My Morn­ing Jacket, Yes and G3 fea­tur­ing Joe Sa­tri­ani.
