Stern words

HOWARD Stern says he’d be a ‘‘no nonsense’’ judge on America’s Got Talent. The shock jock has addressed rumours he may be joining the panel on the hit US television series, after he was named as a possible replacement for outgoing judge Piers Morgan. The TV show needs a third personality to join Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel. ‘‘I love the show. Everyone knows I love America’s Got Talent. I think it’s the greatest. And I would be certainly honoured to sit with Howie and Sharon and judge these lunatics,’’ he laughs. ‘‘And let me tell you something if I was a judge on America’s Got Talent, there would be no nonsense.’’ Stern, 57, did not confirm whether he had been approached for the role, but he insisted no deal had been signed. ‘‘I am not the next judge. I have no deal with America’s Got Talent. I’m not going to comment on whether I’m in negotiations, because I don’t comment on negotiations.’’
