New year spin for Grinspoon
AFTER taking most of the year off touring, Aria-winning Aussie rockers Grinspoon plan to raise the roof at Twin Towns on New Year’s Eve. Formed in Lismore in 1995, Grinspoon, who have been busy working on a new record, scored three albums in Triple J’s Hottest 100 Albums Of All Time list – Guide To Better Living at No.12; New Detention at No.58 and Thrills, Kills & Sunday Pills at No.99. The band will crank out a set of party-starting hits – from Hard Act To Follow, Sweet as Sugar, Lost Control and 1000 Miles to No Reason and Chemical Heart – for the big gig, which sees them joined by supports acts Snakes and Daggers and Melbourne’s Redcoats.
Grinspoon play Twin Towns on Saturday at 8.30pm. Tickets $40.
