MOVE over Stafford Brothers – another musical Gold Coast family is primed for world domination. Bombs Away – aka Chevron Island brothers Sketch and Thomas Hart – have been hand-picked to share the stage with the world’s No. 1 DJ, David Guetta, as part of the Creamfields Festival national tour, which plays Parklands Showgrounds in May.

Fresh from a month-long US tour, the dubstep-electro-house-club duo played a gig at Shooters Nightclub, in Surfers Paradise, earlier this month.

‘‘Everything aside, we just want to party,’’ Sketch says.

The duo will return to the US later this year to record with rapper, singersongwriter and producer Pitbull.

While their Creamfields festival set will see them perform in DJ mode, Bombs Away have been working on an ‘‘organic’’ live show for a round of club gigs.

‘‘We are both musicians and both play instruments, so we are bringing that back to that stage,’’ Sketch says.

‘‘It’s a dynamic live show. We do stage diving and jump out.

‘‘We try to make a party so we can join it after we play.’’

Creamfields’ Facebook fans have voted Bombs Away the festival’s most anticipated act.

‘‘It was crazy for us to be ranked first next to people like David Guetta and Deadmau5, but it was really cool to see support from Australians,’’ Sketch says.

‘‘We were surprised to see it and the promoters were a bit shocked. ‘‘It made them pay attention to us.’’ Inspired by a sticker on the back of a tow truck, Sketch says the brothers’ stage name Bombs Away defines the duo perfectly.

‘‘It’s such a great name. It means everything, like it’s about to drop – let’s party,’’ he says.

‘‘It’s a motto we take with us on tour. We want to make people party with us.’’

Sketch says touring the US was a crazy experience.

‘‘We did so many shows – almost every single day,’’ he says.

Bombs Away, David Guetta, Above & Beyond, Dirty South, Alesso, W&W, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Congorock, Vitalic, Sied van Riel, Tritonal, Downlink, Shockone, MARLO, MC Stretch and more play Creamfields, at Parklands Showgrounds, on May 6. Tickets are on sale via Moshtix.
