own ‘‘homegrown Houdini’’, Cosentino (pictured) is the face of a new generation of illusion and intrigue. The illusionist performs a live magic extravaganza at Twin Towns Services Club on Saturday. ‘‘This will be a spectacle like nobody has seen before,’’ he says. ‘‘There will be illusions that you wouldn’t have thought possible I will take what I do to a new level. Expect to have your mind blown.’’ Cosentino’s award-winning style fuses traditional sleight-of-hand magic, grand illusions, dance and escape artistry. He started performing aged 13, in his struggle to overcome shyness at school. He was last year’s runner up on Channel 7 hit Australia’s Got Talent. An estimated 4 million viewers watched his high-energy mix of Michael Jackson-style dance moves and magic. Cosentino is a three-time award-winning magician in Australia, Guinness world-record contributor and Helpmann Award nominee.

Cosentino plays Twin Towns on Saturday at 8pm. Tickets are $40.
