M. 2008. Nifty, lowbudget bank heist movie with some likely British lads pulling the job in the middle of the World Cup. Strains hard to be another Lock, Stock but can’t reach the high rungs. Still, it’s fun in parts. Robert Boulter, Brodie Bass. 8.30pm, Eleven
PG. 1998. Surprisingly attractive update of the Cinderella legend, played as a straight romance. Drew Barrymore is an appealing Cinders, stealing the Prince’s heart so he scours the kingdom for her. Adults shouldn’t be put off by what sounds a syrupy fable. This is a spirited, often funny film. Anjelica Huston.

MA. 2004. Very creepy thriller. Academic Daniel Craig has a chance encounter in a park with Rhys Ifans – the two are involved in a freak accident, involving a death. With this still playing on his mind, Craig then becomes the centre of unwelcome attention by the obviously deranged Ifans, who sees him as an object of love. Frightening experience as it ramps up the suspense.
