Seven goes out for Revenge in bid to win back viewers
plans to take Revenge on rival Channel 9 in a bid to claw back viewers. Since The Voice stepped up to the microphone on Sunday April 15, it has blasted every other network away in the ratings battle – attracting about 2.5 million viewers each night, or around double its closest rivals. A promotional tour by Revenge stars Emily Vancamp (pictured) and Josh Bowman next week could not come at a better time for the Seven Network. Revenge was the number one new show for 2012 until The Voice came along. After being heavily promoted Revenge debuted on February 13 with more than 2 million viewers – and it still attracts more than 1 million watchers per episode in its 8.30pm timeslot. On Monday night, The Voice had more than 2.518 million viewers to again easily give it the top ratings spot. Coming in second was the Nine Network’s other reality show, The Block, with 1.43 million viewers tuning in.
Monday and Wednesday, 8.30pm, Seven, Prime7.
