A hell of a fol­low­ing

fans will get a sec­ond chance to see the new in­stal­ment of hit Ja­panese anime fran­chise Bleach, with the new film, Hell Verse to get a sec­ond Gold Coast film fes­ti­val screen­ing due to pop­u­lar de­mand. Masakazu Morita (pic­tured), voice of the lead char­ac­ter Ichigo Kurosaki and di­rec­tor Noriyuki Abe, flew in from Ja­pan to con­duct an anime mas­ter­class and pre­miere the new film at Birch Car­roll and Coyle, Australia Fair, last week. Bleach the Movie: Hell Verse screened at the film fes­ti­val al­most a year ahead of its pro­jected world pre­miere. Bleach be­gan as a manga (graphic novel) and evolved into film, toys and tele­vi­sion se­ries with 350 episodes pro­duced over eight years. It fol­lows the ad­ven­tures of Kurosaki Ichigo, a teen who sees ghosts.
