Coast view­ers will be able to watch the London Olympic games in 3D. Chan­nel 9 has se­cured a li­cence to trial 3D broad­cast­ing dur­ing the games and will test in the big-five cities broad­cast ar­eas – Syd­ney, Melbourne, Ade­laide, Perth and Bris­bane/gold Coast. View­ers will be able to to en­joy up to five hours of 3D Olympic Games ac­tion daily. The 3D pack­age com­ple­ments Nine’s ex­ten­sive cov­er­age, air­ing daily from 11am on a ded­i­cated chan­nel. It will fea­ture the Open­ing Cer­e­mony and events in­clud­ing the swim­ming fi­nals, gym­nas­tics, ath­let­ics, ca­noe slalom, syn­chro­nised swim­ming and div­ing, con­clud­ing each day with a one-hour high­lights pro­gram.
