7.30pm, Go!

PG. 1999. Highlystrung family that took to an underground shelter during the Cuban Missile Crisis 35 years ago, reenters the outside world of downtown Los Angeles and finds it hard to fit in. Wellwritten comedy plays the two cultures off against each other, particularly as grown son Brendan Fraser falls for the delectable Alicia Silverstone. 8.30pm, Movie One M. 2011. A mother, devastated by her daughter’s suicide, investigates the circumstances that drove her to take her own life. Social networking sites and an online diary offer clues, but her campaign to name and shame the bullies responsible reveals a dangerous secret. Liz Vassey, Jenn Proske. 8.45pm, 7TWO

M. 2009. Top-notch newspaper investigation thriller, based on a noted BBC TV series. Reporter Russell Crowe, delving into the death of a congressional aide sniffs out the involvement of old political pal Ben Affleck and a secretive security company. As he delves deeper, he realises he’s dealing with dangerous people. Exciting story has a genuine feel for the atmosphere of a newspaper newsroom. 9.30pm, SBS TWO

M. 2009. Striking look at the personal life of Benito Mussolini and, specifically, his affair with Ida Palser who supported him financially as well as romantically, before he banished her to a lunatic asylum along with their child. Filippo Timi, Giovanna Mezzogiorno.
