Hot Property

Hot Property: acting. It’s an opportunity for him to be himself and he likes the mental freedom of ‘‘fiddling’’ with the script and adlibbing, which is outside the constraints of doing a soapie or a film.

Whether will be commissioned for a further season is yet to be known, but Caton definitely enjoys the format.

‘‘We’ve had a dream run with it. I’ve never heard a bad word ever said about the show or during filming,’’ he says.

‘‘It’s a joy and it gives me the chance to be more me – whatever that is.’’

The Gold Coast property market is in the spotlight tonight when Hot Property returns. Three-time world iron man champ Shannon Eckstein and his best mate, Kane George, want to sell the bachelor pad they bought in 2003.

The Mermaid Beach unit, 100m from the water, should be popular with buyers but with the local market struggling, Shannon and Kane could find themselves facing an expensive wipe out.

Also tonight, Caton heads to Camperdown, in Sydney, where he meets Steve and Kylie. Keen to start up their own business, called Just Wrapt, they need to sell Kylie’s converted warehouse apartment at auction for $725,000 for their dream to come true.

Series return, Thursdays, 8pm, Nine and 8.30pm, NBN.
