Wrap­ping up last case

bosses have axed long-run­ning crime drama CSI: Mi­ami af­ter 10 years on air. The se­ries, which stars David Caruso as de­tec­tive Ho­ra­tio Caine, is a spin-off of CSI: Crime Scene In­ves­ti­ga­tion and it launched as a sep­a­rate show in 2002. How­ever, TV chiefs at US net­work CBS have now con­firmed CSI: Mi­ami will not re­turn af­ter the lat­est sea­son. A state­ment from the net­work reads: ‘‘ CSI: Mi­ami leaves an amaz­ing tele­vi­sion legacy – a sig­na­ture look and style, global pop­u­lar­ity and as a key player in CBS’s rise to the top over the past decade . . . We thank all the pro­duc­ers . . . and its tal­ented cast, led by David Caruso, for 10 out­stand­ing sea­sons.’’ CSI: Crime Scene In­ves­ti­ga­tion and sec­ondary spin-off CSI: NY con­tinue.
