Wrapping up last case
bosses have axed long-running crime drama CSI: Miami after 10 years on air. The series, which stars David Caruso as detective Horatio Caine, is a spin-off of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and it launched as a separate show in 2002. However, TV chiefs at US network CBS have now confirmed CSI: Miami will not return after the latest season. A statement from the network reads: ‘‘ CSI: Miami leaves an amazing television legacy – a signature look and style, global popularity and as a key player in CBS’s rise to the top over the past decade . . . We thank all the producers . . . and its talented cast, led by David Caruso, for 10 outstanding seasons.’’ CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and secondary spin-off CSI: NY continue.
